DANVILLE, Va. --Â Averett University athletics announced updates for its baseball and softball contests this upcoming weekend.
Baseball's opening home three-game set versus Hood College has been reduced to two games. Their contest on Sunday, Feb. 15 has been canceled, but the doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 14 remains as scheduled. Baseball will play at 12 and 3 p.m., with the second contest likely to be played through seven innings.
Softball and their opening doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 15 versus Methodist University has been postponed to Thursday, March 12. That doubleheader will start at 1 p.m.
