NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Averett University women's tennis concluded the weekend with a 7-0 loss at No. 25 Christopher Newport University on Sunday morning.

Sunna Maass put up a valiant effort versus the Captains' Lindsey Bergelin, but fell 6-4, 6-3.
The Cougars have the next two weeks to prep for their next match, taking on Ferrum College for its home debut at the Averett Tennis Courts on Sunday, March 1. Start time is set for 1 p.m.
