DANVILLE, Va. – Averett University men's tennis defeated the University of Lynchburg, 4-2, on Sunday afternoon at the Averett Tennis Courts.
Identical to the women's team, Averett (3-4, 3-0 ODAC) went up and down the doubles lineups with near ease to claim the first point.

Lucas Fiandra faced adversity in their match at No. 1, but pulled away with the 7-6 (3) win.
In singles,
Florian Bert put the Cougars up 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Alexandre Gaboardi. Ricards Spaks got Lynchburg (5-2, 1-1 ODAC) a point back at the top spot, before
Rafael Jodas recorded a dominant 6-0, 6-3 win versus Sebastian Sierra to put Averett up 3-1.
Roger Pamies Petit locked up the dual with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph against Alvaro Quiroga Amaya.
Averett next contests its US-29 rivalry match, hosting ODAC foe Guilford College on Wednesday, March 18 at 3 p.m. at the Averett Tennis Courts.
