DANVILLE, Va. – Averett University men's tennis earned its fourth straight ODAC win with a 7-0 decision versus Guilford College on Wednesday afternoon at the Averett Tennis Courts.
Averett (4-4, 4-0 ODAC) won doubles matches at the first and second slots to lock up the first point for the Cougars.
Singles play went in quality fashion. Matches at the third through fifth slots won their matches with a combined one game dropped.
Satwik Kollepalli had the mightiest test at no. 1, and went the distance with Guilford's (1-10, 1-2 ODAC) Emmanuel Oye, but won the third set in a match tiebreak, 10-8 to secure the win.
Averett is right back at it at the Averett Tennis Courts tomorrow afternoon, as it hosts Roanoke College at 2:30 p.m.
