TEMPE, Ariz. – Off of the heels of a stellar March slate, Averett University women's tennis found themselves back with a number in front, at No. 73 per the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) rankings on Thursday.

Averett is ranked for the first time since February of 2025, where it was at No. 37.

The Cougars are indeed riding hot, as they have won six straight matches, without a loss since March 11. Averett's current record is 8-2, and 5-1 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. 

Only two ODAC institutions are ranked in the latest poll, being No. 12 Washington and Lee University and Averett.

The Cougars seek their seventh straight win at Randolph College on Saturday, Apr. 4.
