TEMPE, Ariz. – Averett University men's tennis clocked in at 64th in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) rankings released on Wednesday.
Averett (8-7, 6-2 ODAC) split its last two matches of the regular season, both in non-conference and cross-divisional. The Cougars lost 4-3 at Division-II Belmont Abbey College, before defeating Division-II Shaw University 5-2. It is the fourth straight week that Averett has been ranked this spring.
Standing strong, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference has the identical five schools who have succeeded on the court in 2026. The highest ranked of the bunch, Shenandoah University, is 40th. Washington and Lee University is at 42nd, Randolph College cracked the top-50 at 48th, Virginia Wesleyan is 60th, and Averett is at no. 64. Averett awaits its opponent in the quarterfinals of the upcoming ODAC tournament on Tuesday, Apr. 28.
