WILLIAMSBURG, Va.—Averett University women's golf wrapped up Sunday's opening round at the 2026 ODAC Championship in sixth place as a team at Williamsburg National Golf Club. The Cougars shot 61-over-par 288.
Sophomore
Meredith Pegram holds a 17th-place position, following a nine-over round. In that span, she made 10 pars and a birdie. Senior
Sophia Marshall is in 26th at 16-over-par, where she had five par makes.
Teammates in junior
Cooper Perryman and senior
Hannah Walton are tied for 29th with a 19-over score. Perryman made a birdie herself to go along with five pars, while Walton had four par shots.
Senior
Madison Masoudpour is in 36th at 26-over, where she had four pars on the day. Eighth-ranked Washington and Lee University has the team lead at 12-over, and General Toral Blatt has the individual lead as the only golfer thus far with a score at par.
Averett returns for the second round of the Championship tomorrow morning.
