Women’s golf ends play at ODAC Championships

| By:
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Averett University women's golf concluded the third and final round of the ODAC Championship on Tuesday at Williamsburg National Golf Club. The Cougars finished in sixth, with a combined score of 138-over-par 864.

Sophomore Meredith Pegram recorded her sixth top-20 finish this year, as she finished 20th at 28-over. Her round three concluded with two birdies on the front nine, with eight par shots. Senior Sophia Marshall brought an end to her Averett career with a tied-23rd finish at the tournament. She totaled two birdies in round three, along with six pars.

The other three competitors on the team in junior Cooper Perryman, and seniors Hannah Walton and Madison Masoudpour recorded finishes right next to each other; in 29th, and tied-30th, respectively. Like Pegram and Marshall, Perryman also had two birdies herself, both on the front nine.

Masoudpour tied for the sixth-best individual round three of the day, as she shot a 75. With a team-best three birdies, the three-over round marks the lowest 18-hole score of her career, besting a 76 that she had at the 2024 edition of the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate.

12th-ranked Randolph-Macon College dethroned the previous champion in 8th-ranked Washington and Lee University, winning the tournament at 27-over. The Generals' Toral Blatt took the individual laurels, as the only golfer to shoot a par score.

This concludes the 2025-26 season for the women's golf team.
