WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Averett University women's golf finished the middle round at the ODAC Championship at Williamsburg National Golf Club on Monday. Following the day's results, the Cougars are in sixth, 108-over-par 288.
Sophomore
Meredith Pegram remains the team's top performer following two rounds, as she is 20-over, and in 21st. Her day saw nine pars.
The Cougars' best performer on Monday, however, was senior
Sophia Marshall. Marshall posted a seven-over score, the 15th-best individual round on the day with two birdies and nine par shots. She is tied for 23rd.
Junior
Cooper Perryman is in 28th, following a round where she also had nine par shots, and went 12-over. Her total score is plus-30 going into the third round. Seniors
Hannah Walton and
Madison Masoudpour went 17-over, and are in 31st and 37th, respectively.
The top of the team board has changed, as nationally 12th ranked Randolph-Macon College leads by six strokes over 8th-ranked Washington and Lee University, at 21-over. The Yellow Jackets' Morgan Mussatt shot one-under in round two to lower her score to par.
Averett ends its time at the ODAC championship with round three play to conclude tomorrow morning.
