TEMPE, Ariz. – One quality ranked win last week helped Averett University men's tennis move up to no. 57 nationally in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) rankings released on Wednesday.

Averett (6-5, 6-1 ODAC) has simply been on a tear the past month-plus. The Cougars most recently beat ranked Randolph College last weekend, with a 5-2 win keeping them solely in second within the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) standings.

Like last week, the ODAC has the same five teams within the top 75, led by 36th-ranked Washington and Lee University. Shenandoah University is 39th, followed by Averett, then no. 63 Virginia Wesleyan, then no. 67 Randolph.

For the second straight weekend, the Cougars face another tough road test with Shenandoah on deck this upcoming Saturday, Apr. 11.
