DANVILLE, Va. – Averett University women's tennis had three players earn Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State laurels; as junior Brenda Poulakidas made the VaSID First Team in singles, and doubles pair in senior Elisa Battermann and junior Dilara Sultanova made the VaSID Second Team.

The program's tally for VaSID selections jumps to 28, following the latest ballot.

Poulakidas, hailing from Salta, Argentina, repeats on the VaSID list after a second-team doubles selection last campaign. Manning down the first singles spot, Poulakidas achieved a 7-2 record in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matches, where she was named to the first team.

Battermann, who hails from Zeist, the Netherlands, and Sultanova, who hails from Izmir, Turkey, made their way to the second team, following a season where they were one of the best duos in the ODAC. With a 12-2 record, and no losses in conference play, the two earned first team honors.
