Women’s golf in 16th after first round at Shenandoah Invitational

WINCHESTER, Va. — Averett University women's golf representative Meredith Pegram finished the first round of the Shenandoah Invitational just outside the top 15, sitting 16th after Saturday's opening round.

Pegram made a birdie on hole No. 10 and remains within striking distance of the leaders heading into Sunday's final round.

Susquehanna University leads the team standings at 23-over, followed closely by Batten University at 26-over.

Pegram's tee time for Sunday's final round is set for 8:30 a.m.
