DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University women's golf announces its fall 2022 schedule. The Cougars, in their second season of existence, will compete in four events during the fall.

On Sept. 10-11, the Cougars open the season in Lexington, Kentucky, at the Transylvania University Fall Invitational. 

The Cougars return to the Bridgewater College Invitational this fall on Sept. 26-27 in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

The Cougars will host their first ever event when the Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) Intercollegiate will be played Oct 3-4 at Goodyear Golf Club. It's also the first golf event Averett has been home to since Sept. 2012.

In their final tournament, Averett travels to Lexington, Va. to compete in the Southern Virginia Knights Invitational for the first time.

"We have a great early test on the women's side out in Kentucky," said Ben Potter, Averett's director of golf. "It will really show us where we are having a really young roster. Also, I could not be more excited to host for the first time as a coach on the women's side. The VSGA Intercollegiate is an old and prestigious tournament here in the state, and it will be an absolute honor to have it back in Danville this year."

Averett's 2023 spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
