CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Averett University men's and women's cross country completed the Queens University of Charlotte Royal Cross Country Challenge on Friday evening, facing off against other Division II and Division III schools.
Freshman Ke'vannio Smith crossed the finish line at the 30:23.94 mark. Sophomore
Jackson Higgins finished the race with a time of 32:42.85. At 35:32.21, senior
Kinkade Huggins crossed the finish line. Freshman
Azael Quintero recorded a 38:23.64 time.Â
On the women's side, freshman
Gabrielle Griffin had a time of 22:53.62. Senior
Ashley Navarro finished the race at the 46:57.40 mark.
The Cougars are back in action on Oct. 13 for the Roanoke College XC Invite beginning at 5 p.m.
