GREENSBORO, N.C. — Averett University men's golf sits a tie for 14th following Monday's opening round of Guilford College's O'Briant-Jensen Memorial hosted at The Cardinal by Pete Dye. The Cougars, ranked No. 49 in the Scoreboard rankings, were among the final pairings to tee off on Monday morning. Although Averett was near the top of the team standings early on, the Cougars ran into the soggy conditions and cooler temperatures as rain moved into the area as the round progressed.
