FOREST, Va. — Averett University men's golf freshman Chase Myers was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's Golfer of the Week for the second consecutive week, the league announced on Wednesday. Myers shared this week's honor with Hampden-Sydney College's Sean Acree after both golfers tied for sixth overall at the West Pines Invitational hosted by Oglethorpe University.

Myers, a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, shot 1-over for the 54-hole tournament. His second round on Monday was his best as he shot a 3-under-par 68 on the par-71 course. Myers had eagles in back-to-back rounds on the par-5 No. 17. Myers was coming off a win the previous week at the the Glory Days Invitational hosted by Shenandoah University.
