HIGH POINT, N.C – Averett University traveled to High Point University for the first Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) show of the semester. Averett was awarded Reserve Champion Team on Saturday. Senior 
Paige Zischke won High Point Rider on Sunday. 
On Saturday, senior 
Paige Zischke kicked off the day in Open over Fences with a great ride earning second. Junior 
Megan McClelland-Clayton competed in Intermediate over Fences and had a competitive ride placing fifth. Sophomore 
Audrey Beckhardt and freshman 
Abbi Minnock had some nice rides in Limit over Fences placing second and fifth respectively. Next to follow were the flat classes. Zischke had a beautiful ride winning first in Open Flat. Sophomore 
Carly Williams had a lovely ride in Intermediate Flat taking second. Sophomore Elize Idén and freshman 
Savannah McCarty  had challenging rides in Limit Flat receiving reserve. Sophomore 
Ashlee Study had a good ride in Novice placing fourth. Freshman 
Sarah Scearce had a nice ride in Pre Novice earning third. To close out our day was freshman Kadence Bone in Introductory placing fifth. 
On Sunday Zischke had a good ride in the Open over Fences placing third. Next was McClelland-Clayton with another good ride in Intermediate over Fences placing third. Next was Beckhardt in Limit over fences with a nice ride placing third. 
Onto the flat classes for the day first up was Zischke in Open Flat with a lovely ride winning first. Next was Williams in Intermediate Flat in competitive ride receiving  reserve. Idén had a nice ride in Limit Flat placing fourth. Study had a steady ride in Novice placing fifth. Freshman 
Morgan Mockabee had a fantastic ride in Novice winning first. Scearce rode well in Pre Novice earning third. Lastly was Bone in Introductory with a solid ride placing fifth.
