FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Averett University men's tennis glided its way to a 7-0 sweep of Gettysburg College at the University of Mary Washington Indoor Tennis Center on Sunday morning.
All three doubles squads won by a 6-3 set margin to claim the first rubber. After that, the Averett (1-1) singles mass comfortably beat the Gettysburg (3-2) lineup, with neither player dropping more than four games in a set. No. 3 and No. 4 singles
Prabjeet Chandhok and
Julius Bert handled opponents Rex Bondi and Owen Kutlu, respectively, dropping just two games in their respective faceoffs.
Averett men's tennis plays next on Saturday, Mar. 1, for its home and ODAC opener versus Randolph-Macon College. Start time is set for 1 p.m.
