GREENSBORO, N.C. — Averett University traveled to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for two shows in one day. Sophomore
Carly Williams received High Point Rider for Show 2, and Averett University was awarded Champion team for Show 2.
Show 1 started out with Junior
Megan McClelland-Clayton having a solid ride in Intermediate Flat, taking sixth place. Williams had a lovely ride in Intermediate Flat and received first. McClelland-Clayton rode well in Open Fences and placed second. Williams had a technical ride and placed sixth in Intermediate Fences. Sophomores
Audrey Beckhardt and
Ashlee Study had excellent rides in Limit Fences, both taking second place. Junior Elize Idén and freshman
Hannah Meyerhoeffer both rode well in Limit Flat and took fifth and sixth place, respectively. Freshman
Morgan Mockabee had a solid ride in Novice Flat and received sixth place. Freshman
Madisyn Todd had a good ride and earned fourth in Pre-Novice Flat. Freshman Kadence Bone had a lovely ride and took second in Introductory Flat. Averett University took third place as a team.
Show 2 started out with Williams having a great ride in Intermediate Flat and earning first place. McClelland-Clayton had a good ride and received second in Open Fences. Williams had a lovely ride in Intermediate Fences and took first place. Study had an excellent ride and received first place in Limit Fences. Idén rode well and earned fourth place in Limit Flat. Mockabee had a great ride and received second place in Novice Flat. Bone rode amazingly and placed first in Introductory Flat. Averett University earned Champion team for Show 2.
