TEMPE, Ariz. – Following a 1-1 split from the week prior, Averett University men's tennis is at 61st in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) rankings released on Wednesday.
Averett (7-7, 6-2 ODAC) defeated Hampden-Sydney College in non-conference before a slim 4-3 defeat to ranked Shenandoah University over the weekend. It is the third consecutive week that the Cougars have been ranked this spring.
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference still features the same five schools dating back to mid-March. The highest of which is 37th-ranked Shenandoah, then one spot below is Washington and Lee University. Virginia Wesleyan University is 58th, followed by Averett, then at no. 67 is Randolph College.
Averett concludes its regular season at Division-II Shaw University on Apr. 19.
