SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – Averett University women's golf, highlighted by a tied-eighth place finish from senior
Sophia Marshall, finished sixth following round two's conclusion at the Greenbrier Women's Collegiate hosted by Southern Virginia University at The Greenbrier America's Resort. Collectively, the Cougars' score was 105-over-par 576.
Marshall shot nine pars and a birdie to cap off her second best placing this season, 16-over par.
Just short of the top-20, sophomore
Meredith Pegram finished 24-over, and senior
Madison Masoudpour wasn't far behind in 27th, 29-over-par.
Junior
Cooper Perryman and senior
Hannah Walton finished tied-39th and 49th, respectively. The University of Lynchburg won the tournament at 51-over-par, and Southern Virginia's Sydney Richards took home first place, as she shot four-under.
The Cougars have a quick turnaround for the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Championship from Apr. 10-12.
