How Averett helped me:
"I’ve been playing soccer competitively since I was nine and was still playing once a week until the pandemic hit. The four years playing Soccer at Averett were my most enjoyable soccer years as well as four of the best years of my life. Averett was small enough that it felt like one big wonderful, diverse family. On the field, we had ridiculous confidence and fearless desire to take on any challenger. We owe that confidence and experience to a great great coach who, to this day, still cares about each and every individual regardless of skills. An administration who gave us our swim lanes, but allowed us to grow and explore the edges and at times beyond. And a faculty who personally was very involved in our growth with knowledge, caring and compassion. I am very fortunate to be an Averett alumni."
