The Events: The Cougars are 6-2 all-time against the Pride. They won their last matchup 42-3 last season.
Averett at a Glance : The Cougars, tied for No. 24 in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III tournament team rankings, enter their eighth dual competition with a 16-8 record. In their last dual competition, the Cougars defeated Southern Virginia University 37-9. Sophomore Mason Barrett is ranked No. 7 in the NWCA national rankings at 125 pounds and in the 157-pound weight class, sophomore Jesse Alvarado is ranked sixth in the nation. Averett currently has six regionally ranked wrestlers.
