Brandon Grogan was a four-year member of the men’s golf program from 2010-14. Grogan became the first golfer in Averett history to earn medalist honors at the USA South Conference Championship when he won it in 2013. He was a two-time Golf Coaches Association of America PING All-Region selection and a two-time Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State First Team selection. He earned USA South All-Conference Second Team accolades in each of his final three seasons, with USA South All-Tournament Team honors in 2013. Grogan was also a two-time USA South All-Sportsmanship Team member. He finished his career with a 75.74 scoring average, which ranks fifth all-time in program history. He also notched two tournament wins, 15 rounds of par or better, 163 birdies and three eagles.

Grogan was inducted into the Averett Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 17, 2020.
