Lisa Morris was a member of the softball and women’s basketball programs from 1994-98. On the softball field, Morris earned a spot on the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State Second Team in 1995, and was a USA South All-Conference First Team selection in each of her final three seasons. She helped the 1995 squad earn its first conference regular season co-championship in program history. At the time of her induction, Morris ranked 10th with 144 career hits, ninth with 85 runs scored and ninth with 80 runs batted in.

Morris also succeed on the basketball court. At the time of her induction, she ranked 18th all-time in scoring in women’s basketball with 829 career points, and she ranked 11th all-time in rebounds with 611.

In 2014, she was named to the USA South’s 50th Anniversary Softball Team.

Morris was inducted into the Averett Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 17, 2020.
