Averett University Athletics

John "Frenchy" Vigouroux was a member of the Averett men's soccer team from 1979-81. He helped led the Cougars to their first conference titles in 1979 and 1980, as well as three consecutive NCAA berths from 1979-81. Vigouroux was a three-time all-conference team member and was named to the all-state team twice (1980, 1981) and the all-region team in 1981.

Vigouroux was inducted into the Averett University Cougar Club Hall of Fame on Oct. 26, 2002.
