Sandra Johansson was a midfielder/forward for the Averett University women's soccer program from 2010-13. The Gothenberg, Sweden, native totaled 37 goals and 24 assists in 73 career games for the Cougars. Eight of those goals were game-winners. At the completion of her collegiate career, she ranked tied for first in career points with 98 and tied for first in career assists and finished second in program history in goals scored.

A four-time USA South All-Conference selection, Johansson was voted as the 2013 USA South Player of the Year during her senior season. A two-time all-region selection and two-time all-state pick, Johansson helped the Cougars win the 2012 USA South Conference regular season crown and USA South Tournament championship as Averett made its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. Off the field, Johansson earned USA South Academic All-Conference recognition three times, received Academic All-District distinction from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and was named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Academic All-State Team.

Johansson was inducted into the Averett Athletics Hall of Fame on Sept. 29, 2018.
